Programs

Created at Stanford University, the F4Ed program is designed to support children's learning.

We believe that every child can be a top achiever if given the right curriculum, instruction, and parental support.

Our courses are designed to complement and accelerate your child’s education. We analyze proven textbooks and teaching methods from around the world and choose the best of these for our program.

Classes are organized by subject level and difficulty to enable students to learn at the pace that is right for them. Each student is placed in a small group of 3-8 peers who are at the same level and ability, and each group has its own dedicated instructor.

Our instructors are talented undergraduates from universities such as Stanford, Harvard, and Berkeley who have been carefully selected for their ability to be sensitive to the educational and emotional needs of young children. Our instructors have been well-trained and are outstanding role models and teachers.

"I have been blabbering about how wonderful the program is to anyone who would listen. You have done an amazing job!"

Afterschool Programs

Our Afterschool Program is offered at schools in Menlo Park, Atherton, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Portola Valley, and San Carlos. Class meets once per week from October to June. Children work in small groups with dedicated instructors to understand important math fundamentals and interesting new concepts. Classes move at the children's pace and are fun and educational. We strive for a healthy mix of math, strategy games, and fun activities. Our afterschool program is organized into four quarters: October to December, January to March, and April to June, and students may join at the start of each of these sessions.

Registration is now open for our afterschool programs at all locations.

We also offer additional classes in foreign languages that can be added to the morning or all-day programs.

Palo Alto classes are held at the Trinity School at St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, which is across the street from the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC). Please do not contact the school or church, as they do not have information for about our program.

Online registration will open in December.

Private Lessons

In response to requests from parents, we are pleased to be able to offer private lessons in math and other subjects. Lessons are available during the summer and year-round, depending on instructor availability. Please select the private lessons option during the registration process. Please know that it may take up to two weeks for us to match your child with the right instructor. For example, registrations for private lessons received before October 1st will likely have their first lesson after October 15th.

Private lessons are normally taught by our most experienced instructors, and the rates for the lessons depend on the grades covered. For children grades K-6 the cost is $330 for 5 hours, $620 for 10 hours, $900 for 15 hours, $1160 for 20 hours, $2800 for 50 hours, $5600 for 100 hours. For children grades 7-12 and all test prep the cost is $500 for 5 hours, $900 for 10 hours, and $1200 for 15 hours.
